Sweet Pea - Zinfandel - Lathyrus odoratus

Annual - Zinfandel's ruffled blossoms are a rich shade of claret/burgundy that will remind you of fine vintage wine. This beautiful variety begins to bloom very early in the season to cloak a fence or arbor and provides striking bouquets of beautiful flowers with unrivaled depth of color. As the dark, satiny blossoms unfold along their stems, they release sweet peas' seductive perfume of orange blossoms and honey, a fragrance no other flower can offer.

Soil & Water:Sweet peas must have well-drained soil, so dig deeply and enrich with aged manure or compost before sowing seeds. Water well and mulch as vines grow.

Planting & Growing:Sow seeds in full sun in cool early spring weather (as early as the ground can be worked). In mild winter climates, where the ground does not freeze, sweet peas can be planted in the fall. Erect a well-anchored trellis, fence, or vertical netting for these climbing vines before planting seeds. Seedlings will form strong root systems, then overwinter to bloom vigorously in the spring. Plant seeds 1" deep and 2 - 3" apart. When seedlings are 2" tall, thin to 4 - 5" apart to allow plants room to mature. Sweet peas bloom best before the weather gets too hot. Where summer heat comes on fast, they'll appreciate a spot with afternoon shade. Anchor supports well as vies will grow heavy with bloom. Protect seedlings from birds, slugs, and snails. Mulch and keep well-watered. For longest bloom, pick flowers often and keep faded blossoms cut.

A hit, but could be stronger
Size: Medium, Color: Ring Bone, Size: Medium, Color: Ring Bone
Gave this to my 11 week old pittie, and she did significant damage within 15 mins. She left a pile of chewed bits on the couch but thankfully didn't eat them. Definitely don't leave unsupervised. That said, she LOVED it and it seemed to help her teething gums so, I'm still giving it a 4/5 Puppy pics for tax

FOR SHORT TIME USE
Size: X-Small, Color: Ring Bone
My puppies love this. After a couple of weeks, it is worn so I throw it out and buy another since it's reasonably priced. I don't want them to actually ingest a chunk of this.

Great for our puppy
Size: X-Small, Color: Ring Bone
This chew toy has quickly become our puppy’s absolute favorite. She’s just starting to teethe, and keeping her busy and comfortable has definitely been a challenge, but this ring has been a lifesaver. She was interested in it right away and keeps coming back to it on her own, which is a huge win. The chicken flavor seems to really hold her attention, and it gives her something appropriate to chew instead of everything else. It’s the perfect size for a very young puppy and easy for her to hold and gnaw on without getting frustrated. It keeps her occupied, helps soothe her gums, and gives us a much-needed break during those teething moments. If you have a puppy just starting the teething phase and need something safe, durable, and engaging, this is an excellent choice and one I’d happily buy again.

Nylabone Ring Bone
Size: X-Small, Color: Ring Bone
My dog loves these. She chews them into pieces which helps keep her teeth clean. It is a mess to clean up. She chews and spits out the pieces. She is 6 years old so not a puppy.

Everything a Teething Puppy Could Need — Well-Thought-Out Kit
Size: X-Small, Color: Teething Bone
The Nylabone New Puppy Starter Kit is a solid all-in-one solution for the first few months of puppy ownership. It comes with multiple chew toys and bones designed specifically for teething puppies, and my little one took to them right away. The variety keeps him engaged, and I appreciate that each item is designed to be gentle on developing teeth while still satisfying his urge to chew. What differentiates this kit from other puppy chew sets on Amazon is the thoughtful selection of textures and shapes. It’s clear these toys are designed to stimulate gums, promote healthy chewing habits, and even support dental care. I also like that everything is non-toxic and durable enough to survive a few enthusiastic chews. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that the kit might be a bit small for larger breeds, or for puppies that are particularly aggressive chewers. But for standard small to medium pups, it’s a fantastic starter kit that keeps both puppy and owner happy. ✅ Bottom line: A reliable, well-designed starter kit for teething puppies which is thoughtful, durable, and engaging. Makes a great gift for new puppy owners or a practical addition to your own puppy’s toy collection.
